The school is proud to have talented students. Many students of the school have brought laurels to the school.
The University of New South Wales, Australia conducts International Assessments of students studying in schools around the world.
The Assessments encourage students to develop and use the skills related to problem solving, reasoning and critical thinking. These are skills needed to ensure the children's success in this day and age. Children have the opportunity of participating in an Assessment of International standing and to assess their performance in an environment that is stimulating but non-threatening.
For the last three years, the students of the school have been appearing for tests in English, Mathematics, Science and Computer Studies. Their performance has shown an upward trend. In 1998, one of our students got the gold medal. In 1999, five students won the gold medal while eleven bagged the gold in the new millennium. The results have been overwhelming. In 2001, our students won 11 gold medals and again have won 25 gold medals in 2002. A five-member team participated in a Quiz Competition held in Lucknow. Their performance was appreciated by everyone. The girls' football team won the first prize in the Prince Cup organized by ANFA (All Nepal Football Association) to mark the Crown Prince's birthday. The boy's football team won the second prize in the Prince Cup organized by ANFA to mark the Crown Prince's birthday. The boys' cricket team lifted the Birthday Cup organized by Cricket Association of Nepal to mark the Crown Prince's birthday. The boys' football team secured the second position in the Panauti Cup 2002. The junior school team came third in the Spelling Contest organized by Godavari Alumni Association. They have excelled in various fields.
In GPS, awards are a regular feature. Students of the school have bagged awards in all possible disciplines. Recently the five member band consisting of students of the +2 level bagged the prestigious Award for best vocal and lead guitar.
Students of the school have shown their mettle in cricket; Sushil Tandukar has achieved the distinct of becoming the highest scorer in one-day matches. He has created a national record by scoring. Many students are regular members of the U17, U19 and the national squad.
