Welcome to Galaxy Public School which is a premier educational institution in the country. Established in 1986 with 9 students and 2 teachers, the school has evolved over the years into an institution which provides comprehensive education to students from all cross-sections of society. The education provided by the school is child-centric and is tailored to meet the challenges of the new millennium. The school's motto, which is Love and Service, is in tune with the cultural traditions of Nepal since Vedic times.
The school runs classes from Nursery to Class XII. About 400 members of the staff are involved in shaping the future of 3296 students who study in the school.
In keeping with modern trends, the school believes in the principle of learning by doing. By following an eclectic method, the school seeks to draw the best out of students by focusing on their innate qualities. The school believes that education prepares one for the future because education is meant for the future generation.
The school provides a wide range of co-curricular activities because it recognizes the fact that education is incomplete without them. With minimum assistance from teachers, the students run clubs such as Eco club, Social Service, Music club, Computer club and various kinds of clubs. The idea is to make students solve their own problems and to shoulder their responsibilities. The project method of teaching is implemented here.
A lot of emphasis is given to pre-school, kindergarten and primary education since children are most impressionable at this stage. Skilled teachers ensure that there is an all round development of a child's personality. Children are encouraged to take part in creative activities. All activities are designed to make children open up. Group activities provide ample scope for interaction as a result of which children become more outspoken and smart.
The school has made its mark in all spheres of life. Its performance in curricular as well as co-curricular activities has been exemplary. 17 students have so far been placed on the S.L.C. merit list. Thanks to the strong support system the school has. This includes state-of-the-art computer labs, well-equipped science labs, well-stocked libraries, a beautiful swimming pool, a modern auditorium etc. The school has come a long way since its inception. It has a long way to go. The standards are high. It can go higher. There is no limit.
